Solar Panel Systems

Our solar panel systems use the power in both direct and diffused sunlight, converting the energy into heat, to produce hot water for the home.
The solar panels have been designed to complement existing heating systems which use a store of hot water in a cylinder and they are a perfect partner to Worcester’s Greenstar regular and system boilers.
A typical well-sized solar panel system should provide around 50-70% of the hot water requirements of a home.
Planning permission for solar panels has recently been eased significantly.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

A ground source heat pump is an electrically powered system that uses the natural energy stored in the earth to heat your home.
Ground source heat pumps can provide low-cost comfortable heating that uses sustainable energy, causing no direct emissions or other damage to the environment.
Our Greenstore ground source heat pumps are suitable for a variety of different properties and are designed to be the sole source of heating and hot water in the home.
For every single kilowatt of electricity used to power the ground source heat pumps, this system could generate four kilowatts or more in energy for your home.
Planning permission for ground source heat pumps has been eased significantly

Air to water heat pumps

Worcester Greensource air source heat pumps are intended to be the sole source of heating and hot water production for the home, giving homeowners the option of removing the existing heat source from the property.
The Greensource air to water heat pumps use the constant energy available in the air with a refrigerant circuit to allow the temperature to be boosted to a useful level for the provision of heating or hot water for the home.

Air to Air Heat Pump

An air to air heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system that is designed to provide year-round comfort.
The Greensource Air to Air Heat Pump converts the energy from the air outside into heat and then circulates warm air internally to provide a comfortable temperature inside the home.
Where space is limited, Greensource Air to Air Heat Pumps are an attractive alternative for providing energy efficient heating because the only space requirement is an external wall, making them ideal for apartments and smaller homes.
As an extra benefit, Greensource Air to Air Heat Pumps can also operate as an air cooler and purifier using Plasmacluster Ion-technology.

  • Energy efficient – COP* of up to 5
  • Compact design requiring only an outside wall
  • Suitable for a wide variety of property types, including apartments and conservatories
  • Quiet operation
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Display with indoor/outdoor temperature
  • High efficiency in all temperature ranges
  • Can be used to provide cool air in the summer
  • Active Ion-technology air purification, ideal for allergy sufferers
  • Auto-defrost function
  • Proven technology that saves you money

*Coefficient of Performance, the basis of heat pump efficiency. For example, 3 units of environmental energy plus 1 unit of electricity equals 4 units of heating energy. This is subject to suitable low flow temperatures and house insulation levels. A stable and solid outside base is required.
